This is the best thing to ever happen to the Drywall repair process. I have used them for years to repair various sized holes in customers' homes and businesses. My only problem is finding them locally.

I needed to patch the drywall in my garage ceiling and a water pipe made it difficult to use furring strips, so I tried these clips. At first I struggled quite a bit with them. If the screw hit a hole dead on, no problem. If not, the clip tends to bend away, and the screw doesn't catch. Keep in mind that when you are putting the patch in you can't see or reach the clips, so there is no way to deal with this except moving the screw and hoping to get luckier. After fighting with this problem for a while it occurred to me to try longer screws, 1-1/4 inch fine thread drywall rather than the 1 inch included in the package. The extra length uses up the ability of the clip to bend, and the problem is solved. Note also that the clips are sized for 1/2 inch drywall, and it takes some bending to get them over 5/8 inch.

In the end they were adequate given that I couldn't span the opening with furring strips. If I had it to do over I think I would just try stubs of furring rather than these clips. It would be cheaper, easier, and support the drywall the same way.

THANK YOU! I have had holes you my wall behind my shower for more years than I can count. it took me a few dropped clips (inside the wall)to figure them out - but I have a great feeling of accomplishment

I have used these drywall clips in several projects and they always work perfectly. They are easy to use and the repair is almost invisible after taping and applying joint compound. This is by far the easiest way I've found to repair drywall

I have used these clips many times in the past and I would spend around $4-$5 for a package. When I saw a 6-pack for $19.99 I was all over it. I ordered and they sent me 1 pack for $19.99. OUCH! So I am returning and letting them know to correct their description. Good product, bad seller description.

I was tickled to find these clips during one of the many drywall projects I've helped with over the last three years fixing up an older home. They are so simple to use and work great for patching areas that would normally require fussing with furring strips, etc as a backer. They are especially helpful when there isn't room to maneuver strips, and I love how handy they are for working on ceiling patches. These clips snap go on snugly but pretty easily and break off evenly, leaving no trace when you are finished patching, mudding and painting.

I did notice one thing to make using these almost foolproof: it might help to use a slightly longer drywall screw than the ones provided, to make sure you catch one of the holes on the backside of the clip, which is essential for making a solid connection. Otherwise it may take a couple of tries, but once you figure out how they work you can work very quickly and get your patches in place and ready for the "fun part" (haha) - the taping/ patching/ sanding & dust management routine....

I looked all over the place for these clips and could not find them. Then I found them on Amazon.

I'm not very good at dry wall repair and these clips go a long way in helping me get professional results.

...and they are easy to use.

prefer these to the wimpy patches now proffered by Lowes and Home Depot. Stinks I have to order them, but worth the wait

Just use the traditional strip of wood to install patches. Works just as well.
Very expensive compared to a scrap piece of wood.
Delivery took 7 days from this vendor,
Works as advertised.
